Retrofitting Works

Retrofitting is a kind of upgrading for windows. With effect from year 2005, under the law, all old and rusty casement window (including parts) top-hungs are to be upgraded to prevent the windows from falling.

Retrofitting is beneficial as it reinforces the inner frame for a stronger and more stable window. House owners have the responsiblity to ensure that their windows are not hazardous to the public.

After retrofitting works, we will issue a Form A (private homeowners for submission to BCA) / Form B (HDB homeowners for submission to HDB branch office) for filing.

Hanging Door / Panel

Hanging doors / panels are Sliding doors without track and rollers at the base. All weight is concentrated and supported from the top. As such, the doors / panels are lighter and also more attractive.

This type of fitting is safer as there are no obstructive tracks at the bottom hence adults and kids will not accidentally trip over, a plus for home safety.

Another beauty of this installation is the elevation. The door can be elevated to whichever height is necessary to overcome kerb obstacles. This door / panel can also be stored / closed neatly into gaps and walls when not is use.

Basin Window

When there is a sink, there is water. When there is water, there is washing. Frequent washing will cause the area around the sink / basin to be constantly wet and damp and when water sip / leak into the storage area underneath it, it will encourage stain and fungus growth.

Living in our humid weather condition, it is highly recommended to use aluminium for the construction of your basin under storage area. Aluminium is long-lasting, waterproof and it does not permit mold or algae growth or rot and fade as it ages. It is cleaner and more hygienic.

You can choose to have the flexible sliding window type where the whole panel is removable for easy access and cleaning or the normal non-removable doorlike ones.

Shower Screen / Door

Main purpose of installing a shower screen is to keep the toilet dry and prevent slip.

A good shower screen should waterproof a toilet. Its panels are usually translucent this is to eliminate the feeling of bathing in a closed up box.

Hinge Replacement

Hinges breaking and giving way is a norm because of frequent use, age and the weight of the gate / door.

An improperly fixed gate will also cause the screw to break due to pressure and stress directed on the screw.

We suggest to change the replacement to the flat head aluminium rivets or stainless steel rivets.

These rivets can also be used for rubbish chute covers and aluminium doors.
